“The Colours of Burano” celebrates the vivid architecture of Venice’s island town.
Colourful houses abound in Burano, one of the islands that make up Venice. The story I was told is that originally fishermen, coming home from the taverna after a hard days fishing would easily be able to recognize which was their home when they were “three sheets to the wind”. The colours may not be changed, they can be painted must stay that colour forever.
