🎨 Sue Osborne – Multimedia Artist of Texture, Colour & Compassion

Bribie Island • Hervey Bay • Melbourne • Across Queensland

Welcome to the creative world of Sue Osborne, a lifelong artist whose journey spans watercolour mastery, silk murals, pastel landscapes, and now bold mixed media. From Melbourne’s art circles to the coastal calm of Bribie Island, Sue’s work reflects a deep love of texture, experimentation, and storytelling.

“Mixed Media has given me a whole new understanding of freedom — of paint, of texture, and of scale.”

Sue’s artistic evolution is marked by curiosity and reinvention. She began with watercolours under the guidance of Rick Rowton and Joanne Miles, then taught herself silk painting for both fabric and murals. Her pastel phase brought softness and light, while mixed media now allows her to work large, loose, and intuitively.

🖼️ Explore Sue’s Artistic Mediums

  • Watercolour – 25 years of expressive, award-winning work

  • Silk Painting – Fabric and mural-based storytelling

  • Pastel – Soft landscapes and emotional light

  • Mixed Media – Bold textures, layered freedom, and scale

  • Pottery & Textiles – Playful, tactile explorations

Sue’s hands are rarely idle — when not painting, she’s sewing bandanas and bowties to raise funds for Bull Terrier Rescue, a cause close to her heart.

🐾 Art with Heart

Sue’s creativity extends beyond the canvas. Her handmade accessories support Bull Terrier Rescue across Australia, blending compassion with craft. Every stitch and brushstroke reflects her belief in beauty, purpose, and giving back.

📍 Based in Bribie Island, Queensland

Sue’s studio practice is rooted in the textures of coastal life — salt air, shifting light, and the freedom to explore. Her work is available online through Artists Alliance Australia and exhibited across Queensland.
